ELENA NARDINI

Elena Nardini is a prolific writer, born and raised in Los Angeles. She grew up in the theater with actor parents and, as an only child, has always been drawn to connecting through stories and creative collaboration. Elena has a Bachelor’s Degree in Creative Writing from San Francisco State and started out as a freelance journalist, specializing in the bar industry. She then pivoted into filmmaking and spent years working with indie production house, Quagmire Filmz, as a writer and producer.

Elena loves dark comedy, a genre potent with the absurdity and paradoxical nature of life. After working as a bartender in both SF and LA for over a decade, she often draws character inspiration from working-class artists, tattooed night owls and the darker side of bar culture. Currently, she writes from Venice Beach, and provides coverage as a script reader for Roadmap Writers. Her thriller script, Cobweb, is a current finalist in the Austin After Dark Festival, and her drama script, Monday Drive, is a second-rounder at AFF 2026.
